We specialize in the treatment of mood and anxiety spectrum conditions, including major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, obsessive–compulsive disorder, and trauma-related conditions such as PTSD and complex trauma. Dr. Boškailo also works extensively with adjustment disorders, stress-related conditions, grief and loss, and anxiety linked to medical illness or life transitions, using a trauma-informed, integrative approach.

Our approach to treatment is careful, gentle, and individualized. Dr. Boškailo takes time to understand each person’s history, strengths, and challenges before recommending a plan of care. Whenever possible, we emphasize psychotherapy and practical coping strategies, helping patients develop lasting tools for managing stress, trauma, and emotional difficulty without relying immediately on medication.

When medication becomes appropriate, we use it thoughtfully and conservatively—choosing the lowest effective dose, avoiding unnecessary combinations, and monitoring closely for both mental and physical well-being. This balanced approach allows treatment to remain both safe and effective, supporting long-term stability, insight, and recovery.

Before becoming a psychiatrist, Dr. Boškailo spent many years working in emergency medicine and primary care. With more than 40 years of experience in medicine, he pays close attention not only to emotional health, but also to physical health, medical conditions, and how they interact with mental well-being.
